Gothenburg Film Festival shows queer films during the festival. West Pride. The University of Gothenburg is a proud partner to West Pride. The university participates by raising rainbow flags outside university buildings and also by organizing seminars and other activities during the festival. West Pride 2020 was scheduled to take place June 3-7, but was canceled due to the spreading of Covid-19. Despite the canceled festival, the University of Gothenburg chose to continue its partnership with the festival. The Gothenburg Pride Festival is called West Pride.
